Delete your AgapeMate account
You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time, from the app or the website.
How to request deletion
In the app (iPhone or Android)
- Open AgapeMate and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Request deletion.
On the web
- Sign in at app.agapemate.com and open Settings.
- Choose Delete account, type DELETE, and choose Request deletion.
Can’t sign in? Email hello@agapemate.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may ask you to confirm it is you.
What happens next
- Your profile is hidden from other members straight away, and any subscription stops renewing.
- We review each request for 30 days before deleting the account. This protects members against misuse, for example while a safety report is investigated, and gives you time to change your mind.
- To keep your account, sign in before the date and choose Keep my account.
- We email you when you ask, and again when the deletion is complete.
What is deleted
Your sign-in account, profile and faith profile, photos, intro video and verification selfies, matches, likes and messages, community posts and comments, group memberships, devotional notes and progress, notifications and devices.
What we keep, and why
- Safety records: reports made by or about you and any moderation actions, to protect other members and meet legal duties.
- Payment records: subscription and invoice history, which tax and accounting law requires us to keep (held by our payment provider, Stripe).
Your profile, name and email are removed from your account. These records are kept only as long as those purposes require.
